What to discuss at your consultation
Discuss lip shape and proportion as well as volume. Confirm the proposed product, staged treatment options, review appointment and whom to contact for an unexpected problem. Lip filler usually uses a hyaluronic acid gel to adjust volume, border definition or symmetry. Reference photos can help, but the plan should follow your own lip anatomy. Ask whether the product can be dissolved, how swelling usually settles and when the final shape can be judged. Tell the practitioner if you get cold sores, as preventive measures may be advised. Avoid massaging the lips or exposing them to strong heat unless you are told otherwise.
Personalised treatment plan
Non-surgical treatments are not offered as a package; hotel, transfers and interpreter services are not included for these treatments. We help you plan your appointment. Clarify the details of the treatment, the number of sessions and follow-up with the treating facility.
Travel and length of stay
Ask for an individual schedule before booking flights. Confirm the number of visits, review appointments and when the treating professional expects you to be fit to travel. Some treatment plans require more than one visit.
Follow-up after returning home
After the procedure, you can reach us on WhatsApp with any questions; when needed, we pass your information on to the treating team.

Tell us which treatment you are considering, your country and your preferred contact time. We will help you understand what information is needed for an initial assessment.
Non-surgical aesthetics
Browse the before-and-after photographs. Results vary between individuals; these images do not predict your outcome. Ask which examples relate to the treatment you are considering.
What are lip fillers?
Lip fillers are injections, usually of hyaluronic acid gel, used to add volume, define the lip border, improve symmetry or hydrate the lips. The amount and placement are planned according to your lip anatomy and facial proportions, and the effect is temporary.
Who may be suitable for lip fillers?
Adults who want fuller, more defined or more balanced lips may be assessed. Lip fillers are not used during pregnancy or breastfeeding or when there are active cold sores or infection. Previous permanent lip implants, allergies and blood-thinning medication require individual evaluation.
Lip fillers: What should international patients expect in Istanbul?
After reviewing your photos, the practitioner in Istanbul discusses the desired shape, applies a numbing product and performs the injections in one appointment. Swelling and bruising are common at first. Ask when you can fly and whether a review appointment is advised before you leave.
What is recovery like after lip fillers?
Lips are often swollen and tender at first, sometimes unevenly, and bruising can occur. Avoid pressing the lips, very hot drinks, alcohol and strenuous exercise for the period advised. The settled shape can be assessed once the swelling has gone down; seek urgent advice for severe pain or skin colour change.
What results can be expected from lip fillers?
Lips can look larger immediately because of swelling; the settled shape becomes clearer afterwards. The effect gradually fades and maintenance may be discussed. Lumps, asymmetry and rare vascular complications are possible, and hyaluronic acid filler can often be dissolved if needed.
Lip fillers: What is AVAN AESTH’s role?
AVAN AESTH coordinates and does not treat. For lip fillers we share your photos with the provider, arrange the appointment and remain available after your visit to forward questions to the treating practitioner.
Planning your treatment
Before booking, discuss your goals, suitability, alternatives and risks with the treating professional. Request a written treatment plan and realistic expectations. The plan should be based on your individual assessment.
