Short answer: Package prices are usually between 1,400 and 3,000 USD. The exact price depends on the procedure that is planned for you; to avoid misleading you, it is set together with you after a preliminary assessment and given to you in writing. The main factors are the number of grafts, the technique and any optional extras you choose.
Why is there no single price?
We do not quote a single figure before we know your situation, because a price without a plan behind it tells you very little. What you should receive is a written plan that states the estimated number of grafts, the technique, the length of your stay and what your package includes.
What determines the price?
Three things make the biggest difference.
1. The number of grafts and your Norwood stage
The more advanced the hair loss, the more grafts are usually needed and the longer the procedure takes. Your Norwood stage is therefore the starting point of every estimate. The estimated graft ranges for each stage are in our guide How many grafts do I need?.
2. The technique
Classic FUE, Sapphire FUE, DHI and Hybrid differ in the tools used and in how much time the team spends per graft. An unshaven DHI, for example, takes longer than a channel-based technique over the same area. Which technique is planned depends on your hair loss, as explained in our technique guide.
3. Optional extras
You can add optional extras to your package if you wish. They are listed below, and they are entirely your choice.
What is included in every hair transplant package?
Every hair transplant package includes:
- Online preliminary assessment and a personal treatment plan
- Hotel accommodation; the number of nights is set out in your written plan
- VIP transfers between the airport, the hotel and the clinic
- Interpreter support in your language for 2 years
- 1 PRP session and 1 mesotherapy session (the treating doctor decides on suitability)
- Shampoo, lotion and medication for 1 week
- Neck pillow, hat and hair band
The airport welcome, the first hair wash and the 2-year follow-up are also part of the process; details are on the hair transplant page.
What optional extras can I add?
In addition to the package, you can add the following options if you wish; it is entirely your choice.
- Stem cell application. Cells obtained from a small tissue sample taken from the scalp are applied to support the hair follicles. The effect varies from person to person; the doctor decides whether it is suitable for you.
- 6-month hair care set. Some patients choose it to support hair care after the procedure and to look after their hair in the long term. We also recommend it when we think it is useful; if you do not want it, we suggest another care routine.
- 4 PRP sessions instead of 1.
- 4 mesotherapy sessions instead of 1.
None of these options is required for the procedure. If you add any of them, the cost is shown separately in your written plan.
What is not included?
- Flights
- Insurance
- Personal expenses
Book your flight only after your written plan has been approved, so that your travel dates match the length of stay in the plan.
What should a patient from the US or UK budget for besides the package?
Your package price depends on your Norwood stage, the number of grafts and the technique, and it is given to you in writing after the preliminary assessment. The package covers your hotel, airport pick-up, VIP transfers, interpreter support, the procedure, prescribed medicines, one PRP and one mesotherapy session, the aftercare kit, the first hair wash and 2 years of follow-up. What you pay for separately is mainly your flights (about 4 hours direct from London, about 10 hours from New York), any extra nights you choose to add and personal expenses. Book your flights only after you have your written plan and price, so that your dates match the treatment schedule.
How do you get from a preliminary assessment to a written price?
- You send your photos. Which photos are useful is listed in our guide How many grafts do I need?.
- The preliminary assessment is made. Based on your photos, the treating team estimates the graft range and the suitable technique.
- You receive your written plan. It states the procedure, the estimated graft range, the technique, the length of stay, the number of hotel nights, what your package includes and the price.
- You decide on optional extras. If you want to add an option, the plan is updated; if not, the package stays as it is.
- You confirm your dates. Once the plan is approved, you book your flight, and the appointment, hotel and transfers are arranged around it.
- Examination and procedure. At the examination in Istanbul the exact graft count is confirmed. If the plan needs to change, this is discussed with you before the procedure.
Following this order means that no unexpected item appears later.
Do I have to pay in advance?
No. No advance payment is taken. Payment is made in Istanbul on the treatment day, and both cash and card are accepted (see our questions and answers page). There is no second bill from the clinic.
What happens after the procedure?
After you return home, the 2-year follow-up begins. We contact you regularly on WhatsApp, more often in the first week and then at longer intervals, and you can send photos or questions at any time. The full schedule is explained on the hair transplant page.
Why do quotes from different providers differ?
When you compare offers, compare the content, not only the final figure. Useful questions are:
- Is the estimated number of grafts stated, and how was it estimated?
- Which technique is planned, and why?
- Which licensed facility will carry out the procedure, and who is on the treating team?
- What exactly is included: hotel nights, transfers, medication, aftercare products?
- How long does follow-up last after you return home?
An offer that leaves these points open can turn out more expensive later. Our guide to choosing a hospital and coordinator covers what to check before you decide.
